Dust in the cosmic wind
Dr. Johnny Churchill, a renowned scientist with superpowers, sets out on a daring mission to Mars. After his departure, his wife Angela discovers that a customized upgrade to Tuxedo, the family's AI assistant, allows it to access future data by utilizing the curvature of space-time. However, Angela can’t share this discovery with Johnny because starship communications are monitored, and she fears that the government will confiscate Tuxedo if they learn of its capabilities.
When sabotage destroys Johnny’s starship, NASA officially declares him dead. Angela considers having Tuxedo look into the future to see if he’s still alive. However, she’s fearful because the information retrieved through the space-time math model is strictly historical. In other words, data returned from the future is equivalent to data from the past; it cannot be changed. Additionally, when Tuxedo uses its new ability, it creates system anomalies that attract the attention of the team overseeing the upgrade.
